Anotacija

The aim of this instructional handbook is to satisfy the needs of those students majoring in English philology or English-German philology who carry out a research project on ELT methodology as part of their course or program requirements. This guidebook teaches the students to organize and write their research papers on ELT methodology and provides basic information on research types and methods. Often B.A. or M.A. philology students face the challenge of doing research in the field of EFL methodology – they write essay-type homework assignments, term papers and a Bachelor/Master Thesis at the end of the program. All these types of papers are briefly described in this guidebook, all of them sharing similar structure, principles and steps; however, very different in the scope of the research. The guidebook provides students with the fundamental information needed to understandthe research process, from idea formulation and research problem/s to data analysis and interpretation,text organization and documenting the sources. Students will find the necessary information on howto plan, organize and document their research. The instructional handbook consists of chapters thatprovide essential information on the structure of the research paper and writing the research paper,and appendices, in which students may find practical tasks or advice on different technical matters. The instructional handbook will be useful for the students of all philological programs and for languageteachers who present their research in public. / Ši mokomoji knyga yra skirta anglų filologijos, anglų-vokiečių filologijos programų studentams, kurie atlieka įvairaus pobūdžio tiriamuosius darbus (namų darbų užduotis, rašo bakalauro ir magistro tezes, kursinius ir tiriamuosius darbus) pagal anglų kalbos ar kitų užsienio kalbų dėstymo / mokymo metodiką. Mokomąją knygą sudaro 6 skyriai, kuriuose detaliai aiškinamos visos tiriamojo darbo dalys, ir mokomiesiems tikslams skirti priedai su pavyzdžiais ir pratimais įvairiems tiriamojo darbo etapams atlikti. Mokomoji priemonė gali būti naudinga ir kitų filologinių studijų programų studentams bei užsienio kalbų specialistams, pristatantiems savo tyrimus anglų kalba.
